I was told I was too much, too loud, too sensitive.
I believed it - until I picked up a camera and saw what I’d been missing all along. Now, I cater to the dreamers, The loud ones. The ones who saw themselves as outsiders.

I'm Sissela. A portrait photographer, a storyteller, a dreamer, and a seeker of truth through imagery.
Born in Denmark, shaped by years in the U.S., and now living in Sweden, I carry with me a deep understanding of what it means to feel like an outsider - and the power of being truly seen.

I don’t photograph people to make them look like someone else.
I photograph them so they can recognize themselves - fully, fiercely, and without apology.
